Palak Paneer



Palak Paneer
Prep Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins
Serving: 4

Ingredients:
1 tbsp Oil
1 big bunch of palak blanched and pureed
100 gms paneer cubes
1 tsp jeera
Pinch of asafoetida
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tsp of kasuri methi
Salt to taste
2 tsp finely chopped fresh Coriander for garnish.

Method:
  1. Prepare the gravy and keep it ready.
  2. Heat 1 tsp of oil and fry the paneer cubes till the edges get golden colour. (THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL)
  3. Heat oil, add jeera and let it splutter and then add asafoetida. Add the gravy and sauté for 3-4 mins.
  4. Add water for desired consistency.
  5. Add the palak puree and let it cook for 2-3 mins then add paneer cubes and cook for 2 mins.
  6. Adjust the salt as gravy already has some salt and add kasuri methi.
  7. Add garam masala and chopped coriander and remove.
  8. Serve hot with your favourite Indian bread or pulao.

Co-zy Tip:

  1. You may use finely chopped palak instead of puree as well. Only the texture of the gravy will change but not the taste.
  2. You may garnish with fresh cream.
