Onion & Tomato Chutney (for Idli/Dosa/Wada/Snacks)

Ingredients:
4 ripe tomatoes chopped
2 onions chopped
2-3 green chillies
6-8 peppercorns
1 tsp jeera/cumin
3-4 cloves of garlic
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
Salt to taste
3 tsp oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add jeera and allow it to splutter. Then add peppercorns and sauté for 30 seconds and add green chillies and garlic and allow it to fry a bit. Add onions, salt and turmeric and fry till transparent. Finally add tomatoes and cook till they are tender.
- After the above mixture is cooled grind it along with fresh coriander coarsely. Serve it with your favourite breakfast or snack.
Co-zy Tips:
- If you wish you may temper it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- You may also grind it to a smooth paste based on your preference.
